I’m running Windows 10 version When attempting to apply the latest update, I get the following error:. I’ve examined all listed fixes for this error code, other than a reinstall, and nothing seems to allow this update to install. I’ve run Virus scans, registry repairs, etc, but all to no avail. Any real thoughts on what might be going on? This has been happening since the release of that update.

If you ran a Registry cleaner then you’ve probably already ruined your install.

I’ll give you everything possible for fixing failed Windows Updates, so that at least something will work before you work through them all: Some Updates will sort themselves out in a few days so I’d wait to see. Try running that first.

This is the most stable way to change to the newer version and because it reinstalls WIndows while keeping your files and programs in place, fixes most problems. It also brings all Windows Updates to date. It is better and faster than any previous version of Windows, and a better install than any amount of money could buy.

So when you get time I’d study over that to see if it’s something I can help you do. Good news! There are major changes in Version giving back control over Updates to the consumer. I hope this helps. I’ve used it for years and had zero problems running it. Does the latest download of include the latest updates including the one giving me these issues? I’ve performed the Windows Update reset several times, so not sure that option will do much to cure the problem. I have exactly the same issue. I’ve tried the steps with the Media Creation Tool, but it cannot repair the image and fix the issue.

The really annoying thing with Microsoft answers on the community is that they all assume that what you are complaining about is the Windows Update Service itself. I tried every ‘solution’ they suggested, including going to the windows update catalogue and downloading and trying to install it manually, all failed. They also tell you that you can ‘hide’ an update to stop it being offered again.

Well that isn’t correct either! I have run the Windows ‘hide an update’ tool numerous times, it lists the update, you select the update to hide, you think ‘great, it’s blocked’ and then the next time you open up Windows Update the same ‘blocked’ update is back! I would imagine that the ONLY way to resolve this problem is a clean install of Windows 10, but by doing that you lose all your downloaded apps, settings, documents, music and pictures.

I did a reset of the PC and that didn’t resolve the issue either I was lucky in respect of having four hard drives in my PC so I have all my documents, music and photos on a different drive to ‘C’ drive. If a ‘failed to install’ updates are causing so much grief, to so many consumers, then surely it’s time for Microsoft to pull those updates out of the windows update system.

I know, from reading the posts on the community, that many users are having the same problem with this update and the July Cumulative Update so why can’t Microsoft get this issue resolved?! You’re wasting your time if you think Microsoft can help with this issue!

Hi Greg. I tried all the listed solutions, but still got the same problem. Today, August update showed instead of the July update, it too failed. It appears, for ME, that it has cleared the problem at least so far. After the upgrade install, which succeeded. Then a ran a new Check for Updates, and it said I was now current!

To others, might want to pull a new ISO down, and try the upgrade install again. I’m now running build Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community. Search the community and support articles Windows Windows 10 Search Community member. When attempting to apply the latest update, I get the following error: Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version for xbased Systems KB – Error 0x OS Build number is: Please let me know what additional information you need to help sort this issue out.

This will save your files and apps while bringing you up to the latest version by the most stable method.

With these two there is some issue and I am not able to install them. I also tried the recommended steps.

Also the method with the Media Creation Tool, but for some reason the image seems to be affected somehow and doesn’t let me fixing it.

Windows 10, version 21H1 · This build includes all the improvements from Windows 10, version 20H2. · No additional issues were documented for this. Hi,. I am able to download Windows but seems like language packs are not available on MSDN. Can someone direct me to the download link?
