Windows 10 Update broke my backslash key. Hello. I am British and have a UK keyboard. This means to the right of my left-shift, before Z, I have. So when I use both mac and windows together, this key always confuse me with different output! UK layout keyboard is ISO standard and the Mac. On a Norwegian keyboard layout, backslash is normally the key left of the backspace down the “alt” button plus type 90 to get a backslash (only Windows).

The problem is that when this is set, there is no way, what so ever, to type a backslash using the physical keyboard. I find it hard to belive that I would need to change layout to american every time I need to type a backslash. Especially since the american layout fits the physical images on the keys terribly. Paranthesis’ and most other special characters are on keys that do not match the physical layout. I request you to talk to HP support.

One thing this tool can do is to analyse a keymap and look for errors. One is missing keys However, there were no missing keys in the original HP Danish Keymap And it does! On my machine theres even a very hard to see backslash in very faint blue on the physical keyboard.

It does not light up with the keyboard light, and I have to turn on quite a bit of room light to be able to see it.
